Because we care about you and your garments, we use environmentally friendly solvents to clean your clothes, and we follow the best practices and guidelines set forth by the Canadian Fabricare Association and the Ministry of the Environment. Have a look at the services we offer :

• Dry Cleanable, Handwash and Other Pressed Garments

Orr Cleaners has been cleaning your garments since 1952. After cleaning your garments, we gently press each item using a padded press and steam. We follow the manufacturer's care label for the best results and to avoid unforeseeable damage. In rare instances, we may contact you to obtain your consent if we feel the manufacturer's instructions do not take into account the entire garment, i.e., certain trims, beading, etc. When dropping off your garments, please point out any difficult stains, such as mustard, coffee, blood, etc. Pretreating stains at home and certain fabrics and dyes may make the stain impossible to remove. However, we always strive for 100% satisfaction.

• Wedding and Evening Gowns

We clean all styles of gowns including silk and beaded in our Byron facility. We clean mother-of-the-bride, bridesmaid and other formal attire.

Gowns can be placed in a breathable bag for hanging or in an acid-free box with a window for preservation. Gowns should be stored in a dry and dark place after cleaning.

• Shirt Laundry

Shirt laundry involves washing men's style dress shirts and pressing the wet shirts on a high heat shirt press. Shirt presses are automated and designed to press unfitted cotton and cotton blend shirts and require very few touch-ups. We maintain the pads on our press to avoid button breakage. In the event a button does become damaged during the cleaning process, we replace them with the best possible match. As some breakage is unavoidable, we recommend shirts with fancy buttons be pressed on the drycleaning side using a manual padded press. Just let us know if this is a concern when dropping off your shirts, and we'll take care of the rest.

• Wash and Fold Service

Life is busy, whether you're a parent looking after the household, full-time worker, or enjoying your retirement, finding time for the laundry can be challenging. Why not partner with Orr Cleaners and let us look after your laundry needs. Our wash and fold service is convenient - drop off your laundry to one of our 3 locations or call us for a pick-up. We'll return everything to you clean and neatly folded.

• Window Coverings

We offer both wet and dry cleaning services for your window coverings including sheers, drapes, valances, and more.  We steam and press them so they are ready to hang.
 

Please note, we can only clean window coverings at your own risk because there are chances that the fabric has deteriorated due to moisture or sun exposure which may result in tearing or shredding of the fabric when cleaned. Please refer to our FAQ's for more information.  We would also point out that all drapery hooks must be removed prior to cleaning.

• Household Items

We clean and press most household items including cushion covers, tablecloths, duvet covers, tablecloths, bedsheets and more.  We offer dry cleaning or laundering of your comforters, and down duvets.  We also clean silk and wool duvets.

If you have removed the manufacturer's labels please let us know if your duvet is silk or wool to avoid damage, however, we can only clean comforters and duvets without labels at your own risk.

Depot

Drop off any of the following items, and we will arrange to have them cleaned by the right professional:

• Area Rugs

Bring your rug to Orr Cleaners for cleaning and/or repairs.  Don't forget to mention if you would like your rug treated with a pet enzyme for odours.

• Shoes  

Drop off your shoes for repairs by a professional cobbler.

• Suede and Leather

Orr's will have your suede and leather cleaned, repaired and re-dyed, as necessary, by a leather professional.

Alterations

Not only do we wash, fold, press and dry clean your garments, we also do all types of alterations on premises. We offer fitting and consultation by a seamstress please call for hours or an appointment.  Listed below are the kinds of alterations we do:

• Tailoring
  •  Shortening and lengthening
  •  Sleeves and body
  •  Dresses, blouses, shirts, curtains and drapes alteration

• Leather repairs

• Zipper repair and replacement

• Wedding gown and formal alterations

We also do patching to fix worn pockets, holes/tears and snaps, and replace zippers in sleeping bags and duvet covers.
